Two Generations of Alumni Success for Cambridge College

The Cambridge College education has provided Marta T. Rosa (Med '86) and her son, Angel Rosa (MM '06) with the formula of success. Both if these Cambridge College alumni have tasted success earlier in their career, and their education has led them to succeed in the later life as well.

Marta (Med '86) joined Cambridge College as a young working mom, who already had a considerable amount of education and work experience that could take her to places. However, she needed an advanced degree to get to the position of non-profit leadership. With three years hard work, she earned her MEd in 1986. She gives credit to Professor Emeritus John Grassi, who was responsible for the pre-master's program for adult learners. She believes, Professor Grassi has made her road to success easier during her time at the college.

Marta's Son Angel Rosa joined Cambridge College to pursue a degree course when he already had a full-time job that was well-paying as well. At first, he was not unsure whether he would be able to manage time for the course. But the flexible programs at Cambridge College provided him with enough time to pursue his work as well as the degree. According to him, the lessons he used to learn in the evening class at the college could be applied in his work the very next day at his job. He also said that he learned to be an innovator and an entrepreneur at Cambridge College.

Marta has recently agreed to join the President's Council. Previously she has worked for the state Department of Social Services (now Department of Children & Families). Her son, Angel, has also followed his mother's footsteps and achieved commendable success in his career. Presently, Angel is a Vice President at AthenaHealth, and both of them owe their success to Cambridge College education.
