The National University of Singapore (NUS) was established in 1905. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in Singapore and forms a backbone of the revolutionised tertiary education sector in the country. It is an autonomous public research university with three campuses located in Kent Ridge, Bukit Timah and Outram. NUS has around 38,000 local and international students studying in the undergraduate and master’s programs in varied disciplines. Offering a wide array of disciplines in its 13 undergraduate schools, 4 graduate schools and 30 research and learning centres, NUS is a higher education institution that is one of its kind. NUS is affiliated to Universitas 21, International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU), Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), GEM4, Association of Southeast Asian Institutes of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), and ASEAN University Network (AUN).
